Hi team,

Below is the CC log of TPS65987.

My customer has two fail item in Data-Role and Power-Role Swap

1.) Fail item : TEST.PD.PROT.SNK.10

On packet 98, the Msg Type show "Not Supported" and I also read the datasheet.

If want to swap to UFP, the datasheet said "Port is currently a DFP (Host) AND Initiate Swap to UFP == 1" So I check the FW and it is correct.

But I do not understand why it cannot supported. Could you tell me where I can check first?

2.) Fail item : TEST.PD.PROT.SRC.7

I think Packet DUT should be UFP not DFP after DR Swap from packet 94. Could team give me some suggestions?

Hi Jason,

Please check the field "Process Swap to DFP" and try again. When the device is UFP and gets a request to Swap DR, it will need to enable to swap to the other role.

but I do not understand why the Exerciser show "reject", is the FW issue?

Hi Jason,

For the reject, I think the tester is not expecting this PR_SWAP from the PD controller, it is not a FW issue. I also recommend just leaving the "Process Swap to Source" checked but unchecking the "Initiate Swap to Source" as this will always send a PR Swap request at the beginning to become a source. For these pjt config changes, you will also need to make the necessary changes to the VIF file so they both match up.
