DS90UB933-Q1: Link issue with 934

Part Number: DS90UB933-Q1

Hi team,

My customer has encountered an issue of 933-934, here is the block diagram:

The left above is AVM and the left below is for Face ID.

Now the issue is: when the vehicle cold starts, the HUB is choosing Face ID 933 by default and when customer click the '360' button on the vehicle to try to switch the HUB to choose the AVM 933 (left above one), the 360 function would not work and there is no video on the display, you could see below video:

Firstly, customer clicked the 360 button on the above of the screen and then the black screen happened; Then they quit the 360 mode and clicked the Face ID button and you could see that the output is normal on the screen;

It is a small probability event, the Face ID 933 is powered by the 934 PoC circuit and the AVM 933 is powered by another independent power supply (I will double check whether it is powered directly by the battery)

Could you please kindly help to check the phenomenon and provide us some analysis methods for this issue? Besides, I think the 934 and 933(AMV) lock was not established but I will double check with customer about it, thank you!

  • Hello Zirui,

    Can you please check registers 0x4C, 0x4D, and 0x4E in the 934 DES device and share the values that they hold? These registers will help select the RX port to read/write to and have bits that indicate errors and statuses of the port.

    There could also be an addressing issue related to SER device ID of the second 933. You can also check if there is problem related to that.

    Best Regards,

    Shruti
