transceiver for NMEA0183 / NMEA2000

Hi Team,

Customer would like to double check for NMEA0183 / NMEA2000 application if TI has any suggested transceiver to use?

Or any 1T/1R RS232 device is fine?

    Andrew,

    In my experience I've seen CAN transceivers used more often for NMEA2000 applications, especially because it follows the J1939 specification. In that sense, the TCAN1042. TCAN1044A, TCAN1057A, or TCAN1051 may work here. I don't have a copy of the NMEA2000 physical layer specification, is there any way you and the customer can share more details about that?
