Thank you for your question, and sorry for the late reply.
SN65HVD251DRG4 and SN65HVDA540QDR have the same SOIC package type and dimensions. The devices share the same pin functionality except for pins 5 and 8.
Pin 5 on HVD251 is an output reference voltage generated by the device, while pin 5 for the HVDA540 is a logic level input supply voltage used to level shift the input/output logic levels with respect to VIO.
Pin 8 on HVD251 is a mode select pin based off of pullup/pulldown resistor conditions. A strong pulldown to GND asserts high-speed mode. A strong pullup to VCC asserts low-power mode. Finally, a pulldown resistor of 10kohm to 100kohm to GND asserts slope control mode. Pin 8 on HVDA540 is the active HIGH standby mode select pin.
Other than these two pins, the rest of the pinout is the same.
