DS90UB948-Q1: DS90UB948-Q1

Part Number: DS90UB948-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90UB941AS-Q1, , DS90UB947-Q1

Hi,

I noticed that DS90UB948-Q1 can be paired with DS90UB941AS-Q1. The input video format of DS90UB947-Q1 is MIPI DSI, but on the deserializer side, the output video format is openLDI, so does DS90UB948-Q1 also have a codec function to convert MIPI To convert DSI to openLDI? How much transmission delay will this function cause? Thanks!

  • Hello Rogers,

The FPD-Link III serializer devices always extract video data from the parallel video interface such as DSI, LVDS, HDMI into RGB data plus sync signals before packing the data into FPD-Link frames to translate to the deserializer. Then inside the deserializer the part will pack the RGB + sync data into a corresponding output format such as CSI-2, LVDS, parallel LVCMOS, etc. The latency for the entire signal chain is very low. It is on the order of 1-2x the video line time.

    Best Regards,

    Casey
