Hi TI,
If the DIR pin is not used.Is there any concern that let DIR pin floating?Or the 200k ohm pull-up resistor is needed?
Thank you!
Best Regards,
Scott

Hi Malik,
Thanks for reply!
But just curious the DIR is open-drain output, why still need to add pull up resistor even we don't use this pin?
Does it will affect the MUX control?

Thank you!
Best Regards,
Scott
Hi Scott,
Yes this pin does effect the internal mux control. This is why the pull is necessary for correct operation.
Hi Malik,
In addition, do you have recommend resistor value as below? Since 500kohm is very rare in resistors.

As for the VBUS_DET pull up resistor, does it has concern that we use 909k 1% resistor?

Thank you!

Hi Scott,
1) I would reccomend using a value as close to 500K as possible. Values in between 400K and 600K may be able to provide the same performance.
2) 909k 1% resistor should be okay
Hi Malik,
Here's few questions!
1.Does the bulk cap can use MLCC
2.Can several capacitors be placed in parallel to achieve the required capacitance?

Thank you!
Scott
Hi Malik,
Thanks for reply. Just curious that why the single cap is recommended?
Thank you!
Scott
Hi Scott,
Larger capacitance is better to reduce lower frequency noise on power supply. Smaller bulk capacitance only helps with higher frequency noise not typically seen on power supply's and already covered by 100 nF.
