Speed is not set correctly in AutoNegotiation mode while unplug and plug the cable.

I am using DP83822 TI with auto negotiation mode enabled by in the 0x0004 Auto-Negotiation Advertisement Register (ANAR)., I set auto negotiation enabled and PC is also Auto Negotiation enabled. . While i do unplug and plug the cable from PC end, Link is up with 10M and Full duplex and link down is happening immediately. And then link up is happening with 100 and Full duplex.

Every time while Unplug and plug the cable, link up (10M FD), link down and link up(100M, FD) is happening.

Hello,

Auto-negotiation is dependent on link-partner and we dont exactly what PC is doing. Do you also see the same between 2 822 boards? Also are you writting any of the PHY's registers? You may also try writting reg<x0009>[5] = 1.

Yes, I have enabled Robust Auto MDIX in reg<x0009>[5]. But still issues is occuring. From PC side, Auto Negotiation is enabled. I have nt tried connecting 2 822 boards. I will try to test that scenario.

Thanks. Lets check with 822 on both sides to have a more controlled setup as we dont know how PC is behaving.
