TLIN1021A-Q1: What is "slope CTL" shown in "9.2 Functional Block Diagram"?

Part Number: TLIN1021A-Q1

Hi team,

What is "slope CTL" shown in "9.2 Functional Block Diagram"? We are concerned about LIN bus dominant-recessive switching noise. Is slope CTL for solving it and could we programmable how much dv/dt on LIN bus state transition?

Regards,

  • Ochi-san,

The slope control is standard for these transceivers to limit emissions and maintain proper slew rate. Our transceivers are spec'd to meet ISO 17987-4 duty cycle specifications under the load conditions required in a LIN bus.

The slope control you see in the functional block diagram is not selectable. This part is a passive analog part (not programmable).

Is there a particular design constraint that is leading to an increased concern for switching noise? This is very rarely an issue for LIN.

    Best,

    Danny
