THVD1426: Wrong connection for THVD1426?

Dear Sirs,

I just found the connection suggestion in THVD1426 datasheet as below.

I think it will not work for the receiver since /RE and /SHDN are tied together!

Please help to double-check.

    Peter,

    You are technically correct, if SHDN is tied to ground, than the device will be in shutdown mode and will not be able to transmit or receive data. That being said, this figure is meant to just show a transient protection example, so it doesn't really matter what state the device is in. Since datasheet updates are a long process, this may be something we leave in, but I'll talk to the systems team and see what they think. Thank you for pointing this out.
