Hi,
I have 2 x DP83TD510E-EVM and i am testing different distances of cable on 10BASE-T1L interface.
Cable used is an SPE of a standard ethernet cat7 cable
At 250m i get a signal of 1.8Vpp
at 800m connection is also ok
but at 1km, connection can't be established.
So i tried to activate the 2.4Vpp capability with strap J18 (pin LED_2) in mode 0 on both EVMs.
At 1km, a connection still can't be established
When i tried back at 250m i get a connection but the signal level is the same as when strap J18 was in mode 1 (1Vpp mode)
I used USB-2-MDIO to check that strap7 mode was reflected in 0x020E register when auto neg is enable.
But both J18 positions (Mode 0 and mode 1) gives the same results:
register 0x0200 is 0x1100 (auto neg is enable)
register 0x020E is 0x0000
On LED_2 pin I get this signal at start up
mode 0 (1V during 30ms then 3V3)
mode 1 (2V during 40ms then 3V3)
maybe startup voltage of 2V on mode 1 is too weak to get a logical 1 ? What do you think ?
If this is the case then I am always in 2.4Vpp mode right ?
