My name is Simeon Aleksandrov, I am an FAE intern at TI BeNeLux.
I was interested to know if the TS3USB221 can be used with other protocols outside of USB. Following the functional block diagram it does not seem like there is any encoding/decoding going on inside the IC itself which would mean that the component would act as a switch and it would not matter what protocol is used so long as the bit rate does not exceed the maximum allowed rate of 480 Mbps. Am I correct, would it be possible to use it with other protocols?
Following that logic, would it be possible to connect the I/O ports to 3.3V LVTTL signals which would only have a bit rate of 10Mbps?
