DS90UB941AS-Q1: 941 pair 948, 0x06 register fault

Part Number: DS90UB941AS-Q1

Hi expert,

My customer use 941 and 948, but they got blank screen issue. They found 948 0x06 registers became 0x80. I checked the datasheet but not fully understand its meaning.

Control Channel Sequence Error Detected This bit indicates a sequence error has been detected in forward control channel. If this bit is set, an error may have occurred in the control channel operation.

Their pclk is 96MHZ in one port. The cable they use isn't so good. Could you please give some comments about this?

Thanks a lot.

Regards,

Cathy

  • Hello Cathy,

The Forward Control Channel Sequence Error indicates that there is an error in the forward channel communications between the SER and the DES. Especially at high PCLK rate if the cable or PCB design is not meeting the requirements for the FPD-Link interface then that could cause this kind of issue. What do you mean that the cable isn't good? That seems likely to be the issue

    Best Regards,

    Casey
