DS90UB935-Q1: Some question for DS90UB935-Q1 and DS90UB962-Q1 application

Hi TI Teams,

Our customer has a project requirement, which needs to realize four MIPI rear 400M camera input on Android 9.0 system, and transmitted to the main chip (Qualcomm SDM450) for display afer FPD-Link deserialized. They are playing to using 4pcs DS90UB935-Q1 and 1pcs DS90UB962-Q1 for this demand, but have some question as below:

1)  Did the DS90UB935-Q1 and DS90UB962-Q1 selection scheme is feasible? If not, is there any other better suggestion for this application? The End equipment is a custom project similar to a tablet.

2) Does the I2C signal line is correct? Pls refer to the schematic design.

3) Whether the design is reasonable, or if there is any similar design documents can provide?

4) Does TI could provide some driver code for Qualcomm platform (Android 9.0 system)?

    1. Yes, the 962 deserializer can handle (4) 935 serializers. What are the camera video parameters? (resolutions/data format/etc.) What mode will you be using? I don't quite understand from your schematic, which mode you are trying to use. Please refer to section 7.4.3 MODE Pin in the 962 and  7.4.2 MODE in the 935 datasheets.

    2. Please add the recommended pull up resistors:

    3. The design is reasonable. Can you please specify what kind of support you are looking for? (schematic review?)

    There are "typical connection diagrams" in section 8 of the device datasheets. 

    4. You will have to reach out to Qualcomm for support regarding driver code.
