TCAN4550: Hold time spec inquiry

Part Number: TCAN4550

Hi Team,

TCAN4550's tSIH(Data in hold time) is 10ns(minimum), and customer system's MCU also has data output hold time spec.

My customer want to measure the hold time to ensure the data integrity, which spec should they refer to?

Regards,

  • Hi Team,

    Is there any update?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Charles,

The TCAN4550 requires a minimum hold time between when nCS is first asserted and when the SCLK signal can be recognized. Any delay between these two signals greater than the minimum specification is sufficient. Because the MCU also specifies a minimum hold time that may be greater or less than TCAN4550s specification, the longer minimum time should be used.

Let me know if this answers your question or if there's anything else I can help provide.

    Regards,
    Eric Schott
