TCA9539: Inquire about TCA1116 package

Part Number: TCA9539

Hi TI experts,

Customer plan to change TCA1116PWR to TCA1116RTWR because of lead time.

Is there any difference besides the package?

If we change the PCB package, can direct replace TCA1116PWR to TCA1116RTWR?

Please check it.

    Hi Downey,

    Yes, the only difference between these two part numbers is the device package (and thusly thermal impedance). Functionality will be the same. 

    You may also consider TCA9539 in the PW package as a replacement. This device is P2P compatible with TCA1116PWR so no layout changes will be needed when switching.
