SN65LVCP114: PHY protocol compatible check

Part Number: SN65LVCP114
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS125BR401, DS125MB203

Dear teams,

Customer have some questions about the SN65LVCP114. Could you help assign an AE to take a look on that? Attachment is the planning solution based on customer needs.

 Customer requirement: Input signal is from Serdes: differential input (one pair); Better to support USXGMII and XFI; Output better to have 4 pair differential output (8 signal chain), at least 2 pair output to do cascade to achieve 4 pair output; Data transmission rate 10G;

After my investigation, I found SN65LVCP114 might be the good one to match requirements; However, this device can only support 2 pair differential output, and it need to do cascade at the output to achieve 4 pair differential output.

Support need:

  1. Could you help recommend the best device to match customer requirements?
  2. If we don’t have the device to match customer devices, do you think whether SN65LVCP114 cascade structrua can meet customer requirements or not?
  3. Whether SN65LVCP114 can support SGMII/HISGMII/USXGMII/XFI?
  4. Are there any performance difference between customer used CIN0P/N(INPUT) AOUT0P/N (OUTPUT) and CIN0P/N (INPUT) BOUT0/N (OUTPUT)? Aout and Bout will be the output simultaneously? Aout and Bout was not the switcher to determine the output, am I right?

Thanks!

Dylan
