Hi Team,

My customer have a automotive project need a HDMI to LVDS bridge and a HDMI MUX solution to support a 10 inch LCD with 1280X800 resolution.

And I based on above app note to suggest them to use our TFP401A-Q1+SN65LVDS93B-Q1. Am I right ? Or do you have any better solution ?
About the HDMI MUX, I should promote TS3DV642-Q1 right ?

In additional to the app note, you can also use FPD-Link's DS90UB949-Q1 + a compatible FPD-Link III deserializer.

The TS3DV642-Q1 is the automotive version of the HDMI MUX to promote.

So TFP401A-Q1+SN65LVDS93B-Q1 or DS90UB949-Q1 + a compatible FPD-Link III deserializer both can work ? Which one will more eazy and cheaper?
If my customer also need a Camera FPD LINK, 1080P/HD(1280X800)/ 720P Serializers and Deserializers. Do you have any suggestion?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with FPDlink, if customer have 8 camera, they will need 8 sets of Serializers and Deserializers ?

Hello Kai,

1) The above mentioned App Note is the right one for designing an HDMI to LVDS converter on the same board. Nevertheless, you can also use our (HDMI SER) DS90UB949-Q1 with the (LVDS DES) DS90UB948-Q1 to do the same job.

To the price I can't tell anything. You need to check with the marketing team.

2) We do have multiple SER-DES for camera applications. To be able to suggest you with the right devices, please provide more details such as; Frame rate, Data Type, resolution, and Interface type.

3) If the customer have 8 Cameras then they will need 8 SER + 2x hub DES. Each hub DES can be connected with up to 4 cameras.
