TPS25832A-Q1: Using for Only Charging

Hi kuno,

As you know TPS25832A-Q1 ic has data line (DP_OUT, DM_OUT). but I dont want to use them. I only want charging the devices. Charging the Type-Cs.

Is there any problem that you may think that do not using the data lines? If I do not use them, is there any problem to charging the devices?

Hi Mehmet,

You can float it, and there is not any problem, but I have a question for you, if you only need to charge, why not choose the TPS25831-Q1 or TPS25833-Q1?

Just because of MFi Funcitonality Kuno. I want there would be no problem if I plug apple devices.

by the way Kuno, I think the only differences in MFi Functionality topic between TPS25833-Q1 and TPS25832A-Q1 is adding parallel resistor and capacitor to current limiting resistor.

if I add these "parallel resistor and capacitor to current limiting resistor" to TPS25833-Q1, can I get the MFi Functionality feauture on TPS25833-Q1 ic?
