Hello,
I have one general question about backward compatibility for FPD-Link III vs FPD-Link II. Are these two generations backward compatible in general?
I have researched little bit and found that some FPD-Link III serializers are backward compatible with FPD-Link II deserializers. Can you confirm that these two generations are backward compatible for all ICs, or do we need to check each serializer's datasheet to check if it's backwards compatible with FPD-Link II deserializers?
Thanks,
Daniel
Hi Daniel,
Yes. Normally, most of our products are back compatible at least one generation for example 94x to 92x.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have further questions.
