Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUXHS4212
Hi Team,
Does TI have USB3.0 4:1 or 3:1 Mux/DeMUx device to replace PI2USB4122?
I only find 2:1 switch such as HD3SS6126.
Thanks a lot.
Best regards,
Yang

Hi,
You can cascade TMUXHS4212 to form a 4:1 MUX solution. Please note that the insertion loss, Ron, Con, and BW will all by affected by this cascading solution.
Thanks
David
Hi David,
Thanks for your suggestion. My question is how can customer evaluate the performance? do we have methods to estimate the performance like how long it can transmit with this solution? Or customer need to do some experiments to know the performance.
thanks a lot.
Best regards,
Yang
It will be easy if customer can run simulation with S4P module, or they can capture eye diagram with cascading mux.
question is does customer really want to use two muxes to replace one chip solution?

Hi Brian,
We found this opportunity is because competitor has shortage issue. Customer will have a try to use 2:1 mux to replace 4:1 mux. however, we still need to evaluate TMUXHS4212's supply.
thanks a lot.
