TUSB4020BI-Q1: TUSB4020BI-Q1: Clarification about the supported speeds by the USB Hub

Part Number: TUSB4020BI-Q1

Hello team,

I need to connect 2 USB devices to and HUB, one of them is High Speed (USB Audio Class 2.0) the other one is Full Speed (VCOM).

Can TUSB4020BI-Q1 support both of them at maximum allowed speed, especially USB audio 2.0?

In other words, can HUB make downstream ports working at different speeds?

Thank you in advance

Claudio

  • Hi Claudio,

Yes, the hub is intended to be connected at USB HS on the upstream port, while supporting HS, FS or LS devices on the downstream ports.

Please note that if the hub is connected at USB FS on the upstream port, any downstream device can only run at FS or LS, so HS devices will drop to FS.

    Regards,
