DP83867IR: Whether software could be the same in DP83867IRPAPT and DP83867ERGZT

Hi Team,

My customer used DP83867ERGZT before but this socket is out of stock. Now DP83867IRPAPT have some stock in ti.com.

The pin are difference between DP83867ERGZT  and DP83867IRPAPT, customer know they need to change hard ware.

But what about soft ware? If customer change DP83867ERGZT  to DP83867IRPAPT, whether they need to change soft ware?

    Hi Amelie,

    As you noticed, the DP83867IRPAPT has a different pinout and a slightly different register map than the DP83867ERGZT.  The main difference is the ERGZT support for SGMII, which the IRPAPT does not have. Which MAC interface is the customer using? Also, the device ID (register 0x0003) will be different. 

    Which features of the PHY is the customer configuring through software currently?
