DS160PR412: Does it apply to USB3.0 and Displayport?

I wonder if this device apply to USB3.0 and DisplayPort signal pathes?

Hi Hui,

DS160PR412 is protocol agnostic and can be used for USB 3.0. We should be aware of a couple of items:

1). Gain at low frequency of USB 3.0 data rate(5Gbps) is not high.

2). DS160PR412 is targeted for PCIe and thus it has RX detect. Meaning it is expecting to see termination on its output before it turns on termination on its own input.

Another part that could be an option and has higher gain without RX detect is DS100MB203 which may be applicable. Please note data sheet below:

Thanks for your reply and suggetion. It is helpful for my design.

However, before I saw this reply, I planed to use TMUXHS4412 to switch Xilinx Zynq GTR serdes to USB3.0/DP/PCIe. Compared to DS100MB203 that you mentioned above, could you help introduce which would be the better solution for my application?

Hi Hui,

If there is a need for signal conditioning, then DS100MB203 is the preferred choice. Otherwise, you can use TMUX device.
