Hello TI Team

We are planning to use this IC as HDMI Transmitter for new design , we have below queries , please help on these

1) Is there any setting required when operating as DVI mode and HDMI mode ?

2) support version of HDMI ? is this support 1.4 or 2.0 ?

3) any adopter license required for HDMI ?

Hi,

TFP401A-Q1 is a HDMI receiver while the TFP410 is the HDMI transmitter, do you need the -Q1 option?

Hi,

The TFP401A-Q1 is only compliant with the DVI 1.0 specification. It can support HDMI, but only up to 1080p and the HDMI stream also cannot include audio in it.

The electrical signaling is the same between the DVI and the HDMI, so there is no setting difference between the DVI and the HDMI mode.

For adopter license, please check with the HDMI organization.
