TPS25750: Phone doesn't charge after Barrel_Jack_Event

Hello,

we are using the TPS25750D to charge a USB-C device which works well.

In some cases the USB-C device is attached before Vin is applied to the TPS25750 (-> "dead-battery").

We have enabled barrel_jack_event and tied it to a GPIO. Even when we tie it to Vin (5V), the charging doesn't work, but the VBUS is switching between 0V and 5V.

The charging is enabled when the Vin is applied exactly when VBUS is low, but this is not practical of course.

Do you know what could be the issue?

The situation that you are attempting to resolve should work without intervention.

I will attempt to recreate this situation on my EVM later this week when I am able to get into the lab for testing.

I will update you by Friday.

If you have a MCU connected to the I2Cs bus of the TPS25750, then you can attempt to clear the dead battery flag register and see if this resolves the issue that you are seeing.
