Hi, TI Support Team

As shown in the block diagram below, we request a product recommendation for manufacturing an overhead monitor.

Please recommend a suitable product that falls within the red box marked on the block.

This product is an automotive application, and if possible, please recommend it as an Auto-Quality product.

    Hi MJ,

    What version of HDMI is needed?

    For the analog HDMI switch, we offer the TS3DV642-Q1 that can handle HDMI 1.4 or 2.0.

    Unfortunately, we do not have the solution you need for the HDMI convert IC and the Scaler IC. We offer a solution to convert HDMI to LVDS using the TFP401A-Q1 and an SN65LVDS93A/B (App note covering HDMI to LVDS). However, this solution does not support audio nor provide the screen resolution scaling. 

    You could also use our FPD-LINK serializer (DS90UB949-Q1) and deserializer (DS90UB948-Q1) to convert from HDMI to LVDS with audio but again, this will not provide the scaling.

    Regarding the replacement product recommendation request, if there is a product that meets the spec below, please recommend it.

    - Existing product name: RDA8501, UTS6710 (If you need DATASHEET, please reply separately)

    - Request Specs:

    1. Supports FHD, WXGA picture quality

    2. HDMI 2ch Input (2ch or more)

    3. CEC (Customer Electronic Control) function required

    4. Dual LVDS Output

    5. CVBS Input (If your product does not have CVBS input, request for a product without CVBS input)

    6. DDR3, eMMC embedded chipset

    7. Picture quality tuning function required (contrast, contrast,---etc)

    8. OSD font and image configurable chipset

    9. For OSD font, Japanese (Japanese+Chinese) configuration must be possible. (Requires checking memory capacity)

    10. In case of OSD image, it is saved in external EEPROM and read from chipset through SPI communication.

    11. OSD should be overlapped over the image being played.

    12. Need to check whether boot logo Fast response is possible

    The customer's OSD image is attached for better understanding.

    If there are alternative items, please recommend them.

    If possible, could you please share the data sheets for the RDA8501 and UTS6710?

    Again, I don't believe TI offers a solution here based off the block diagram but if you can provide the data sheets I can double check.
