TUSB2036: Schematic Review

We are using the TUSB2036 in a bus powered two port device. 

  • One device permanently attached
  • One device accessible through connector
  • 6 MHz crystal
  • No external memory

    I would recommend adding an external pullup for the unused OVERCURz input.  Also, the upstream port should not have the 15K pulldowns, but it should have a 1.5K pullup on DP connected to DP0PUR (see section 9.2.2 in the datasheet). 

    Please be aware that if the hub is marked as bus powered, the host controller may disable it or downstream devices if it believes there is not enough power.  This may happen even if there is actually more than enough power available on the host.  The host software may enforce older USB rules about devices connected to downstream ports of a bus powered hub being limited to 100 mA.
