TPS25750: Connection to Battery charger

Hello,

I would like you to confirm about below.

- 1 -
* According to datasheet of TPS25750, this device can be set as host of i2c to control battery charger.
However, according to following document, it seems that there is restriction to choose battery charger.

But, can user choose any battery charger which have i2c ?

Do you have any solution which is included gas gauge ?

1. The TPS25750 has integrated firmware to work with the BQ25713, BQ25731, BQ25790, and BQ25792. Other chargers are not directly supported

2. None of the included chargers have a built in gas guage.

If user will use other BQ series, does user need to operate these BQ product by using external microcontroller ?

Ryuuichi,

That is correct. The user will need to use a MCU to communicate between the TPS25750 and the BQ battery charger.
