DP83867IR: Power supply for DP83867

Hi expert,

My customer wants to use 2pcs DP83867 in their power monitor board, do you have some suggestions of the power supply design? The input power rail will be 5volts, and customer hope to use as less power ICs as possible in their design. That's perfect if you have single chip solution to it.

Hi Jared,

Sorry, we don't have any single chip solution as DP83867 doesn't take in 5V supply. We will need some LDOs to lower down the voltage.

Can you please give more details on the application of DP83867 in the power monitor board so that I can cater better?

May I know what details do you need to suggest the power supply solutions?

Besides, I find that we have some 2chanel or 3channel outputs LDO products. Do you think if customer can use single 2channel or 3channel LDO to supply 2pcs DP83867 in their design? Thanks.

Hi Jared,

The customer can use dual channel outputs for the PHY as long as the BOM recommended in the datasheet is used.
