Hello TI Team,
I have requirement to design source only USB Type-C port which will only source VBUS (5V ) supply with aprx. current 1A.
I was come across TPS25821 and TPS2553 Power switches.
The TPS25821 looks like quite smart which will monitor CC pins and manages VBUS accordingly, But it has current limit 1.7A which will stress DC-DC converter(5V) at event of Overload or short circuit condition.
In Case of TPS2553, it doesn't have CC pin monitoring but has better current limiting option. Power switch can be manage by Micro by monitoring CC pins.
Please can you recommend best approach to fulfil above requirements?
