Could our TUSB8044A detect the UFP or DFP?

If can, how to do.

Hi Jason,

The TUSB8044A doesn't support role reversal. The upstream port of the hub is always UFP and the downstream ports are always DFP.

My customer cannot using hub to do the host detect?

Can you explain what you mean by "host detect"? The hub cannot change roles or direction, so it cannot detect a host on a downstream port and change data direction.

Hi JMMN,

Let me conclude the two questions.

1.) USB DP/DN can't connect to hub UFP, right? if it can't could you tell me why?

2.) They would like to know if they can use hub to detect the host role.

Hi Jason,

The upstream port of the hub can connect at USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 speeds, but there is no role detect.
