DS90UB960-Q1: Indirect address register settings

Hi E2E team,

may be from a very early software version of an EVA tool with TDA and SDK for 960 and 953 there are register setting concerning indirect access registers that I can't verify (and which are still in the source code):

DES 960:

{0xB0, 0x1C, 0x64}, /* Indirect Access Ctl Registers, CSI-2 Reserved Registers */
{0xB1, 0x13, 0x10}, /* Indirect Access Address */
{0xB2, 0x1F, 0x10}, /* Indirect Access Data */

SER 953

{0xB0, 0x04, 0x20},
{0xB1, 0x08, 0x20},
{0xB2, 0x07, 0x20},

In the 953, 960 data sheets no explanation for these settings can be found.

What does tis mean, is it necessary?

Hi Torsten,

What source are you referring to. These registers are not listed in the datasheet and should not be changed in software.

Hello Torsten,

These few indirect register settings were used for earlier samples to improve stability, but since these devices were released, it is recommended to remove these register settings from your code. Please use only what is in the current datasheets.

these settings came from an old HW / SW revision. Your explanation sounds obvious and we will remove it.
