DS90UB940N-Q1: how to set DS90UB940N register

Part Number: DS90UB940N-Q1

Hi team,

One of our customers has some problems with the application of DS90UB940N-Q1. I forward his question as follows:

We now have a design:  DS90UB947 generates a 1920*720@50hz RGB signal , now DS90UB940 need to convert  into the corresponding YUV signal to the platform SOC.

Now the platform can receive the CSI signal generated by 940, but there are some problems in display color and resolution (Inconsistent with the content displayed at the input end), such as attachment video. If we have any problem with the setting of 940 register, please help us to have a look. Thanks very much!

Best Regards,

Amy Luo

    Thank you for the information.

I will review this and get back to you and Amy with feedback/additional questions early next week.

  • Hi Amy/Verna,

Thank you for your patience on this.

Looking at the schematic, I see that the CSI signals are going into another device prior to the display. I presume this is acting as a switch between the 940 and another video output from other device?

Can you verify the CSI data format is correct based on the display attached? I see the script has both RAW10 and YUV422 listed.

It would be helpful for a full register dump of the 940 as well (main page and CSI registers).

    Regards,

    Logan
