Hi team,

My customer is asking about some application questions about 926 device, could you please kindly help to provide us some replies easy to understand since my customer maybe not very familiar with such serdes devices? Thank you:

1. What is the function of CMLOUT differential pair?
2. Why does the output of RGB and other signal lines require 50 ohm impedance output, and why should it be pulled up to VDDIO?

Hi Zirui,

1. The CMLOUT differential pair functions as a monitor point for measuring "open-eyes" on eye diagrams. In high-speed signals, the eye diagrams indicate the quality of signals.

2. The 50 Ohm impedance requirement stems from RF-design needs to balance transmission loss, voltage and power transfer.
