Part Number: TMUXHS4212

Hi team,

What’s difference between (a) & (b) configuration?

My customer use (b) decoupling CAP topology between AP and TMUXHS4212.

Does (a) have any advantages?  Or which condition uses (a) need 4 caps.

    Hi,

    The only difference here in (a) is that the Host TX is allowed to bias TMUXHS4212 to the appropriate range and prevents device /endpoint boards from biasing the device. This can be useful when any device can be plugged into the connector and device common mode can potentially violate the Vcm spec of TMUXHS4212. I recommend this for USB-C applications.
