HD3SS3202: Replaceability between HD3SS3202 & TUSB542

Because I am evaluating if it is possible to use HD3SS3202(MUX) to replace TUSB542(Redriver mux), I'd like to ask do you have any materials about this topic? Or what should I notice on this comparison?

And could you provide the below information to me? Thanks.

1.Ibis model of TUSB542 & HD3SS3202

2. SI parameters of TUSB542 as below ( or S-parameter curve will be better)
*Bandwidth

*Insertion Loss @ 2.5GHz

Hi,

Using HD3SS3202 instead of TUSB542 really depends on PCB trace between connector and USB Host/endpoint. Do you have a block diagram I can review?

What is the planned trace length from IPQ9500 to the rear and front connector. I would recommend using HD3SS6126 (USB3+USB2 mux) instead of HD3SS3202 and separate USB2 mux. Keep in mind that TUSB542 devices need to be controlled by PD or CC controller.

Also in your design right now only one USB-C connector will be functional at a time.

You will want to use TUSB542 close to connector in this application.
