Hi everybody

I already get a DS90UB954 and 953 des-ser, this is the first time am working with, i need to see an image on a display whether HDMI or any other but i can´t found information in order to known which PN of the interfaces i need to get, for example the port CSI-2 Tx i guess it should be the output to the display but i only can find camera interfaces, can you help me please to known how to coneect my des 954 whether LCD or HDIM?

Hi Marco,

For our FPD-Link ADAS devices, the typical setup involves:

Camera -> Serializer -> Deserializer -> ISP(Image Signal Processor) -> Display

Here is an App Note with details about getting started with a design: snla267a.pdf

But essentially, the ADAS deserializers are designed to feed the aggregated video data from one or multiple connected cameras into a video processor. The video processor would process the incoming video data and then output the video stream to a display. Do you have a processor or ISP to use in your test setup?

The UB954 device has multiple registers that can detect the incoming video's signal, line count, line length, etc... but there is not a direct connection from an ADAS deserializer to a display.

I apreciatte for your comments, so i have not any SPI or processor, as i mentioned this is the first time im working with this ser-des, i only want to knonw what ´kind of devices do i need to integrate at the output in order to show the video output into a LCD or HDMI display, i read a lot the datasheet and i foud what you mention that 954 has not direct connection but i have not idea what to use in order to achive my project.

I noticed in some forums they asre usign a CPU display and i want to knonw which is the interfeces they are using.

There are some reference designs that involve sending deserializer output to an external CPU board, which can then be used to output video to a display. See the following product pages for more details:
