TLIN1029A-Q1: Estimate power consumption

Hi team,

My customer is calculating the power consumption of his board.

Could you explain how to calculate the power consumption at TLIN1029A-Q1?

I think the power consumption of internal circuitry is

Ploss=VSUP*ISUP(dominant)*0.5 + VSUP*ISUP(recessive)*0.5

And I think the worst case power consumption of open drain FET during dominant is

Ploss=(VSUP-Vf-VSUP*0.2)/1kohm * VSUP*0.2 (Pull-up current goes into the FET and the voltage is VOL max)

But I don't have a confidence. Please give me your advice.

    It looks to me like you are thinking correctly. Of course, RXD is also sinking current, but this power consumption is not usually the biggest contributor.

    I am assuming Vf is the voltage drop across your commander node serial diode.
