TPS65994AD: Request ASL Code for INT3515 device to Report UCMCx Software Framework to OS via ACPI

Part Number: TPS65994AD
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65994

Hi,

  • We are developing an Intel system which involves TPS65994AD for Thunderbolt 4 Type-C Power delivery
  • Our design is EC-less and as requested by Intel we need to obtain below materials from TI:
    • UCMCx driver for Windows (This is already available in TPS65994 design resource package)
    • ASL code for INT3515 device to report UCMCx software framework to OS via ACPI table
  • Could TI help to provide the ASL code for INT3515 device, please?

(Please note we do not have local TI FAE contact at the moment)

Thanks,

Jonathan

  • Hello Jonathan,

Let me check with the team some of these questions. Will get back to you next week.

  • Hi Adam,

Thanks for the reply. Just for your information, we learnt from our Intel technical support that Intel has already obtained the requested ASL code for INT3515 device from TI with NDA.

    Regards, Jonathan

  • Hi Jonathan,

Glad you were able to get what you were looking for. Let us know if you have any further questions.

  • Hi Adam,

I am very sorry for the misleading information.

I was trying to let you know that we learnt from Intel about the availability of the requested ASL code for INT3515 from TI. But since there is an NDA, Intel could not provide us with the ASL code and we must request it from TI.

Could you help to check internally the availability of this ASL code, or let us know if there are any concerns that prevent us from getting it, please?

I have made a request of connect on E2E with you in case you need to know further about our Intel reference design etc. Thanks!

  • Hello Jonathan,

Speaking with the team, no one is familiar with this and knows what "ASL code for INT3515" is. This could be the PD controller firmware which would be generated using the application configuration tool available in the secure site.

  • Hi Adam,

We do not find the requested ASL code from the PD controller firmware generated by the application configuration tool.

Intel has advised us to share with TI an example of ASL code that is very similar to the what we are requesting.

However this information must not be exposed in public domain and therefore I have requested to connect you on E2E to continue the discussion of this topic using private message. Please help to check the request.

    Thanks,

    Jonathan
