TUSB8043A: The USB2.0 bandwidth of TUSB8043A

Part Number: TUSB8043A

Hi TI Teams,

Our customer reported that when TUSB8043A is connected to two USB2.0 Cameras and is doing streaming at the same time, but found that only one of the two cameras can be used for streaming, and the other cannot. They checked the log and it shows that the bandwidth is not enough. So they want to know the USB2.0 bandwidth of TUSB8043A and how are they allocated.

Thanks,

Kind Regards

  • Hello Lumina,

All the bandwidth allocations are done by the USB host controller. The USB hub is a "dumb" device in that it just passes the USB traffic it is sent.

In our lab we are able to run multiple USB camera streams behind a hub when we test with amcap.exe or similar tools.

    Regards,
