DS90UB947-Q1: DS90UB947+DS90UB948: no display

Hi Kailyn, 

I recommend the customer try to getting patgen to work on just the deserializer first before using patgen over the FPD-Link. 

In the Exploring Pattern Generator Application Note, can you have the customer follow the instructions in section 4.3 with their desired timings on the 948? Please share the register configurations for that if there are any issues. 

Can you provide the specs for the display they are using as well?

Thank you very much for your reply, and the customer has confirmed according to your advice to work on just deserilaizer.  The registers configuration is as following:

Thank for getting back to me. Was the customer successful with using just the patgen on the deserializer and following the app note? 

I am going into the register dump and double check those settings in the mean time.

Thank you for your reply, unfortunately, it is unsuccessful even though tested only with deserializer. But the lock pin is high level.

Now  it could appear with pattern test, but it has flower screen as this:

And I have confirmed with him, it could lock normally, and his configuration is:

947:  modesel_0=10；947_modesel_1=00

 948:modesel_0=100；948_modesel_1=010

Hi Kailyn, 

Can you share the register settings of the patgen registers? When using internal patgen, the internal oscillator frequency is different for the 947 and the 948. If using the 948, the internal clock runs at 140 MHz and any clock divider would be based off that. The 947 has an internal clock that is 200MHz or 800MHz by selection. 

I want to look over the timing the settings that are used for the pattern test.
