DS90UB914A-Q1: green screen fault

Part Number: DS90UB914A-Q1

Dear team,

Recently the customer finds that there are several camera displaying green screen. We dump the register and find that there are two register is different from normal cameras, 0x02 and 0x03. In the normal phenomenon, 0x02=0x07 and 0x03=0xEC, but in the fault phenomenon, 0x02=0x00 and 0x03=0xe9. The strange is that these two register is normal at the beginning, after 914 working for a while, there two registers seems to be changed automatically while their software didn't write these two registers.

Could you please help analyze this? Thank you!

Thanks & Best regards,

Sherry

  • Hi Sherry,

When you power-up and configure the UB914A board, it seems the customer set register 0x02=0x07 and register 0x03=0xEC. But after running the system for some time, there is a green screen fault. The only change that is noticed is that these registers have changed unintentionally.

In the configuration script for the UB914A, can the customer try setting register 0x03=0xE8 and then running the system to see if the fault condition still occurs? This will set the "AUTO ACK" bit to 0.

If the customer sets register 0x03=0xEC, then they are setting the "AUTO ACK" bit and the "I2C Pass-Through" bit. If the "I2C Pass-Through" bit is set to 1, make sure the "AUTO ACK" and "I2C Pass-Through All" bit are both set to 0.

    Best,

    Justin Phan
