DP83848-EP: Special Connections - RBIAS, RESERVED1 and RESERVED2

Part Number: DP83848-EP

The datasheet for the DP83848-EP specifies "Special Connections" in Table 3.10. It states that for proper functioning of the device, a bias resistor of 4.87kOhm should be connected from the RBIAS Pin to Ground, while the RESERVED terminals should be pulled up to the power supply via 2.2kOhm.

What is the exact effect on the device if RBIAS resistor fails (short, open or value change) ? Same question for the RESERVED terminals.

Will the device completely fail if any of the resistors is open/short, while a value small drift in the value causes no effect ?

I was unable to find an Application Note which covers this aspect specifically.
