Hi,

Good Day.

Customer is using USB-REDRIVER-EVM in his product without any problem but he would like to know.

If there is any evidences that this product in some case, burn out an USB compute port? or damage a computer USB port?

    Hi Ray Vincent,

    No, this should not happen.  The EVM is powered from VBUS so the power should be limited by the port.  It is possible to damage a USB port due to ESD events or broken cables, but that it not specific to this EVM.  Did the customer see an issue with a damaged port?
