Hi Team,
Now my customer used 1920*1080, 30fps, DVP with 148.5Mhz output ISP camera(YUV422 8bit). Can one device from TI can support this input data format, both ADAS and IVI are ok. Thanks.
BR,
Rory

Hi Rory,
It seems you are looking for a serializer that can support the video throughput of your camera. In that case, I would recommend an ADAS product. IVI products have video interfaces for displays, such as HDMI, DP, etc... and are not suitable for camera applications. Could you provide more information?
1) What is the video interface of the ISP camera? (CSI-2 or Parallel Interface)
2) Each serializer would be paired with a compatible deserializer device, over a cable link. Has a deserializer been chosen?
Best,
Justin Phan
Hi Justin,
It is parallel interface and no deserializer required now, we can choose anyone if it can be used.
Thanks!
Rory.
Hi Rory.
Our main choice of parallel interface FPD3 serializers are the UB913A and UB933, but they only support a PCLK up to 100MHz:
(UB913A)
(UB933)
Here is a link to a page of some other TI products that may suit your application: https://www.ti.com/interface/high-speed-serdes/fpd-link-serdes/products.html#p189=RGB;LVCMOS&p99max=148;210
I recommend looking at the product datasheets to see if there are any suitable serializers for your application. If not, then TI does not have a suitable part for your application.

Hi Juastin,
Below AN showed we can use 953 in DVP mode, does it mean that with parallel input or still keep MIPI interface?

Hi Rory,
When the UB953 device is in DVP mode, it means that it can connect to a DVP deserializer, such as the UB934 and UB914A devices. The UB953 serializer device will still have a CSI-2 video input interface. Since your customer wants to use a camera with a parallel video interface, then they cannot use a UB953 device.
The only serializers with parallel video interfaces that we have are the UB913A/UB933 devices. But since your customer's camera uses a PCLK that exceeds our serializer specs, then we do not have an option available.
The link I shared shows search results for other TI parts that may fit your customer application. If there are no suitable alternatives there, then we do not have a suitable serializer.
Best,
Justin Phan
