Hi,
Good day. I hope you are doing well.
On the SN65HVD1791D, table 7.1 indicates that the A and B lines are protected against over-Voltage, are the Y and Z lines also protected?
Thank you.

Cedrick

Hi Cedrick,
I am checking with our internal team as this is a bit of an older device to get confirmation on all of our specs. I should have something to you within the next 24 hours - I do think the Y/Z pins are protected; however, the datasheet is confusing and seemingly contradicts itself so I want to double check. Stay posted I should have information very soon to confirm this spec.

Hi Cedrick,
The Y/Z pins on the 91 should be protected up to +/-70V. The datasheet didn't specify the Y/Z pins except on the devices that are lower than +/-30V - but the datasheet indicates that the 91 will have its RS-485 bus pins protected to +/-70V, which Y,Z,A, and B are the bus pins.
Best,
Parker Dodson
