TMDS442: Could you help us to adjust HDMI setting to make eye bigger?

Part Number: TMDS442

Dear TI:

We meet a TMDS442's signal quality issue need your help.
Our signal quality fail at 1920x1080p_Deep color, its eye too smaller.
Could you provide us help to make the eye bigger?
We use the GE = H, GPIO mode.
We already try to adjust PRE, but it doesn't work.
Could you provide us more information that how to adjust HDMI eye bigger?

Thanks.

  • Hi,

Can you please share your schematic, layout, and eye diagram?

Besides the PRE, the only other knob you can tune is the VSADJ, A 1% precision resister, 4.64-kΩ, connected from VSADJ to ground is recommended to allow the differential output swing to provide TMDS signal levels. The differential output driver provides a typical 10-mA current sink capability, which provides a typical 500-mV voltage drop across a 50-Ω termination resistor. A 10% accuracy resistor is allowed to be connected when the output swing is not strictly required to meet the TMDS signal levels. A 10% resistor provides differential output voltages in the range of 438 mV and 532 mV.

    Thanks
