DS90UH948-Q1: DIGITAL RESET0/1 behaviour

Part Number: DS90UH948-Q1

Hi Team,

Can you tell us Digital Reset 0/1 behaviour of ds90ub948?

When command of digital reset 0/1 set, how ds90ub948 behave?

How GPIO and lvds output reacts? how long (msec) mute? or hi-z?

Does GPIO output behaviour differ between setting of remote and GPIO?

Thanks

  • Hi Masaaki-san,

    Thank you for your questions.

Can you tell us Digital Reset 0/1 behaviour of ds90ub948?

When command of digital reset 0/1 set, how ds90ub948 behave?

When digital reset [0] is done, all registers and digital blocks are reset (besides what is listed below). When digital reset 1 is done, only digital blocks get reset (register values are retained).

How GPIO and lvds output reacts? how long (msec) mute? or hi-z?

I'll need to investigate this and get back to you.

Does GPIO output behaviour differ between setting of remote and GPIO?

Can you clarify the above question?

    Regards,

    Logan

  • Hi, Logan

Thank you for your quick response.

    Let me clarify third question.

I can control 948 GPIO output by setting 0x1d, 0x1e, or 0x1f resisters.

GPIO output value is either controlled by resiter directly or recieved from the remote serializer input.

Are there any different behavior between direct resister control and received from remote serializer?

I think Digital reset 0 should not make any changes. Digital reset 1 clear 0x1d, 0x1e and 0x1f resisters.

    Am I correct?

I am waiting for the answer for 2nd question.

    Thanks

  • Hi Masaaki-San,

    1. When DIGITAL_RESET / DIGITAL_RESET1 (Address:0x01) is set to 1,  what is the state of  RINx and LVDS output pins?

During digital reset, the state of the pins is undetermined

    2. How much time does it take from RESET command to Reset done?

    2ms

I think Digital reset 0 should not make any changes. Digital reset 1 clear 0x1d, 0x1e and 0x1f resisters.

    Am I correct?

    This is correct.

    Regards,

    Logan
