SN65DPHY440SS: I2C Max Clock Speed

That's unfortunate. Can the DPHY440 ignore 400kHz traffic?

The DPHY440 local I2C interface is enabled when RSTN is input high. So if you want to access other devices beside the DPHY440, can you hold the DPHY440 in reset by driving RSTn low?

I thought about this as well, but it would reset our DPHY440 registers as well every time, which would interrupt our video stream and we'd need to reconfigure it every time. 

I think think I might just have to disable the I2C going to the DPHY440 during operation. I have an I2C level shifter (TXS0102YZPR); I might just control it's OE pin to turn that portion of the bus off (and have a one side of the level shift be 100/400 kHz and have the other side be 100 kHz only).

Is there a particular reason you want the DPHY440 in I2C mode? The DPHY440 can be configured through the pin configuration mode for normal functional mode.

I'm hoping that we can set everything we need through resistors and skip the I2C entirely. This is a prototype though, and we want to make sure we provide every option that we might need.
