DP83848I: What is max current of LED_LINK/AN0 pin?

Hi TI experts,

What is max current of LED_LINK/AN0 pin? We couldn't find current spec for LED_LINK pin in datasheet.

I attached a part of LED_LINK schematic. Please check it.

Hi Kim,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

The LED current can go as high as 6mA. So the 560 ohms resistor looks good.

What are the values of resistors R810,812,814? They are labelled 222, not sure if it is 2.2k ohms.

Sorry, R825 is 56 ohms. is it problem?

We will change R825 from 56 ohms to 330 ohms. Is 330 ohms okay?

Is sink current max of 28pin (LED_LINK/AN0) 6mA?

Hi Kim,

From my calculations, with 56 ohms, the maximum current is >40mA which is not okay to be sunk from the driver.

With 330 ohms, I see that maximum current is 8-9mA.
Let me check with my team to see if the driver can support 9mA.

Looks like the LED can drive 9mA too. You can use 330ohms.
